Dorothy G. Hook

Dorothy G. Hook, 60, died Monday, March 12, 2012 at her home in Midway. She was a native of Jesup but a lifelong resident of Liberty County. She was the daughter of Ernest G. Hook and Thelma P. Hook both deceased. Also preceded in death by a brother in law Carl Stephens. Dorothy was a graduate of Bradwell Institute and a retired Real Estate Agent. Survivors are 3 Sisters; Ann H. Stephens of Jekyll Island, Nell and (David) Allred of Burlington, North Carolina, and Ernestine and (Ellis) Todd of Claxton; a Brother; Scott and (Kathy) Hook of Long Beach, Mississippi; 7 Nieces; Amy Hester, Shea and Blair Stephens, Lorrie and Ashley Todd, Nadeleine and Ainsley Byrd; 3 Nephews; David Allred Jr, and Douglas and Larry Todd. Dorothy leaves behind many dear friends. Her love and thanks goes to her special childhood friend Bonnie Youmans, a dear Aunt Alma Haggerty, and her Children. A Celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Flemington Presbyterian Church or a charity of your choice.
