Sue Nell M. Davis

Sue Nell Davis, 88, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at home after a long illness.

A native of Long County, she lived at Dallas Bluff for the past 25 years.  She loved her flowers and fishing, and cherished her dog, Emma Jewell. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, T. Alton Davis, Sr., and her children, Debbie Davis Lowry and Troy “Bubba” Davis, Jr.

She is survived by four nieces, Nell Fischette (Grant Dean) of Darien, Rosalaine Chambers (Ron) of Eagle Neck, Rubinett McQuaig Douglas (Paul) of Charleston, SC, and Virginia Davis (Lowell) of Jackson, MS, and several other family members.

Graveside services will begin at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 23, 2017, at Morgan Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, 3308 Shellman Bluff Road NE, Townsend, GA, with Reverend Grant Abernathy officiating.   The family will receive friends following the service at 702 3rd Street West, Darien, GA.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jenny Futch, Marjie Allen, Carole Hooks, Jay Young, Beverly Young, John Bryant, Liza Weed, and Linda Howard.
