Allenhurst
John E. Troha, 91, died Saturday, April 16, 2016, at Liberty Regional Medical Center after a short illness.
A resident of Allenhurst for 18 years, he was a United States ARMY veteran of WWII, and lived in Eustis and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, from the time of his discharge in 1948 until moving to Georgia in 1998. He was retired from Ryder Truck Lines, a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Umatilla, FL, and a lifetime member of the American Legion and VFW.
Mr. Troha was preceded in death by his wife, Edith, and daughter, Bonita Troha.
He is survived by his sister, Joan Sandmaier (Bill) of Allenhurst; brothers, Herman Troha (Mary) of Dothan, AL, Robert Troha (Jeweline) and Lawrence Troha, both of Allenhurst.
Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Monday, April 18, 2016, at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 11 am, Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel, with Reverend Ben Beasley officiating. Burial will follow in the Allenhurst Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Allen Troha, Steve Troha, Brian Troha, Mike Mooney, Ryan Troha, and Jonathan Caines.
Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
