Alton Morris Aguillard

Fleming Alton M. "Granddaddy Al" Aguillard, 80, died Wednesday, August 26, 2015, after a long illness. A veteran of the US Army, he lived in Fleming most of his life and attended Fleming Baptist Church. He was a well-known and respected member of the community. He was a beloved and giving husband, father, and grandfather, and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Kathryn Crowley Aguillard; two daughters and son-in-law, Ramona G. and Tony Overstreet of Fleming, and Linda K. Aguillard of Atlanta; six grandchildren, Kevin Hamilton (Miranda), Christopher Hamilton I, (Amy), Shannon Aguillard (Nicole), Kristen Davis, Kayla Hamilton, and Sean Overstreet; many great-grandchildren and two sisters. A private family service will be held at a later date. Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
