Alfonso Mendoza Capapas

Born on August 25, 1932, Alfonso Mendoza Capapas passed away on July 3, 2026, at the age of 93.

Alfonso is survived by his daughters, Normita Baluyot and Emily Capapas, and his sons, Elmer Capapas and Danilo Capapas. He cherished the joys of grandfatherhood, leaving treasured memories to his grandchildren: Richard Baluyot, Nadine Baluyot, Daniel Capapas, Joseph Capapas, Faith Miranda, and Ruth Capapas.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Ofelia Capapas, whose memory lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved them both.

Some of Alfonso's hobbies included spending time with his family, practicing his faith, and gardening.

His memory will be cherished and honored always.

A rosary service will be at 5 p.m. on Friday, July 10, 2026, at the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home, with a visitation to follow until 7 p.m. that evening.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 11th, 2026, at St. Stephen, First Martyr of Hinesville.

Burial will immediately follow the service at Oglethorpe Memorial Park in Hinesville, Georgia.
