Alma Maxine Glenn, 88, passed away on July 2, 2026. She was born on August 9, 1937, in Summers Point, New Jersey, to the late Daniel C. Henry and Vivian L. Henry.

Alma graduated from high school in 1956. She later proudly served her country in the United States Army as a Specialist, serving at the U.S. Army Hospital in Fort Benning, Georgia; the U.S. Army Hospital in Japan; and the U.S. Army Hospital in Fort Lawton, Washington.

Alma was united in marriage to Harry E. Glenn, and together they shared 62 years of marriage. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her life was marked by love for her family, dedication to service, and a warm spirit that will be remembered by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Harry E. Glenn Jr. (son) and Cynthia M. (Jose’) Reyes (daughter); her grandchildren, James Oberzan, Alexis Oberzan, and Annaliesse Reyes; her siblings, Carl (Lithian) Henry (brother), Marjorie (James) Jordan (sister), Joan (Willie) Thurman (sister), Janet Easley-Henry (sister), Joseph (Vivian) Henry (brother), Daniel L. Henry (brother), Sonia Henry (sister), John Henry Sr. (brother), and Cheryl (Ricky) Russell (sister); along with many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel C. Henry (father) and Vivian L. Henry (mother); and her siblings, Vivian E. Culver (sister), Gloria Harmon (sister), Sylvia Henry (sister), and Mark Henry (brother).

Alma enjoyed many hobbies throughout her life, including creating garbage art, growing flowers, listening to relaxing steel drum music, and walking under the boardwalk. She found joy in simple moments and shared that joy with those around her.

Alma’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know and love her.

Family will receive friends Thursday, July 9th, at 12:30-1:30 P.M. at Carter Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 9th at 1:30 P.M. at Carter Funeral Home Chapel.

Graveside service will be held Thursday, July 9th, at 3:00 P.M. at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Patroid Guard will serve as Pallbearers.
