Andy Silas Arrington, 57, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at his home in Liberty County, Georgia, surrounded by his loving family.

Andy lived in Liberty County for the past 37 years. A devoted member of Compassion Church, his life reflected deep faith, unwavering commitment to his family, and a passion for service for the military. He retired after 40 years of dedicated government service, much of which was spent at Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield. A proud veteran, Andy served as part of the 82 nd Airborne Division and received numerous accommodations for his service. While in the 82 nd Airborne Division, he conquered “Land, Air, and Sea”. Those experiences led to his profound bond of brotherhood with his fellow soldiers and held their friendship and courage in the highest regard.

Andy had a deep-rooted love for the outdoors that began in his youth and continued throughout his life. Known to many as an avid outdoorsman, he found peace and joy in hunting and fishing, often sharing these passions with family, friends, and his brotherhood of soldiers. Whether in the woods or on the water, Andy found beauty in nature and cherished the time it offered him for reflection and connection. Above all, Andy was a devoted family man. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother whose life was marked by kindness, humility, much laughter, and steadfast love.

Andy is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Gunn Arrington.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Denise Arrington; daughters and sons-in-law, Chelsea Dillard (Jamie) and Andie Arrington (Zack); and his four beloved grandchildren: Bea, Chandler, Grayson, and Sophia. He also leaves behind his father, Russell Arrington; his sisters, Debbie Smith (Steve) and Deena Wallingford (Jeff); his brother, Rusty Arrington (Wendi); and many cherished cousins, nephews, and nieces.

Andy’s legacy of faith, family, service, and love for the outdoors lives on in those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
