Ann Martin Bean passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Ann was born in Hinesville on June 14, 1940 to Rudolph and Bertha Darsey Martin. She graduated from Bradwell Institute in 1958. Ann was a faithful member of Hinesville First United Methodist Church, The Bertha Martin Circle and The Ollie Darsey Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Cherokee Rose Country Club where she enjoyed playing golf. Ann retired from The Heritage Bank after forty years of employment.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of forty-five years, Gerald (Buddy) Bean; daughter, Lynn Bean Lanier; daughter-in-law, Susan Bean; and two sisters, Sara Jane Durrence Eskew and Mary Lee Zoucks.
Ann leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son, David Bean; son-in-law, Kevin Lanier; granddaughters, Kristina Kinsey (Brent), Jennifer Campbell (Alton Goodman), and Lindsey Martinez (Richard); siblings, Jackie Shuman, Jerry Martin (Julie); several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews who will also hold her close in their heart forever.
Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 9, 2023 at Carter Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Hinesville First United Methodist Church, 203 North Main Street, Hinesville, GA 31313. Burial will follow in Hinesville Cemetery.
Remembrances can be made to Hinesville Cemetery or Hinesville First United Methodist Church.
