Charles "Charlie" Floyd, Jr.

Charles "Charlie" Edwin Floyd Jr., 66, of Riceboro, GA passed away peacefully at home on Friday, May 26, 2023.

Charlie was born on January 8, 1957 in Savannah, GA to Cynthia M. and the late Charles Edwin Floyd. He was a lifelong resident of Liberty County. Charlie was an avid hunter, fisherman and farmer. He loved the outdoors and working in his garden. He spent all of his life working at Fort Stewart until his retirement in 2018. He married the love his life, Terri Smoak Floyd on February 2, 2005. 

He is survived by his mother, Cynthia Floyd; his wife of 17 years, Terri Floyd; son, Clint Floyd (Morgan); siblings, Wanda Wedincamp (Danny), John R. "Ricky" Floyd, Donna Way (Frank), and Diana Keel (Joey); two beloved grandchildren, Aria and Henry; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 29, 2023 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home.
