Cheryl Townsend Kight

Cheryl Townsend Kight, 63, passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro.

Cheryl was born on October 1, 1958 in Savannah, GA. She lived most of her life in Richmond Hill and for the past few years she resided in Statesboro. She was a member of Daniel Baptist Church. Cheryl had a fondness for cats and horses. She was a fan of Dale Earnhardt. More than anything though, she loved Jesus and her family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Julius B. Townsend.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Kight; mother, Eunice Bashlor Townsend; four brothers, Gerald Townsend (Cindy), Rick Townsend (Hy), Hoyle Townsend (Rose) and Samuel “Sammy” Townsend; niece, Jamie Gray (Scott); and two nephews, Cody Lee and Blake Townsend.

Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel. Funeral services will be private.
