Debra Mickey Waters, 87, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Glennville, Georgia, Debra attended school in Tattnall County and was a member of the Glennville High School Class of 1957. After graduation, she attended Massey Business College in Jacksonville, Florida, where she received a Secretarial Science diploma. In 1958, Debra, along with her sister, Pat Brown, moved to Savannah, where she spent thirty-five years working in the Proof Department, first at Citizens and Southern National Bank and later at Bank of America.

She was a dedicated employee who loved her job and the people she worked with. Debra was preceded in death by her parents, John and Floy Thompson Waters, and eight siblings: Prentice Waters, Coolidge Waters, Von Waters, Romie Waters, Wanda Phillips, Beach Waters, Boby Waters and one infant brother. She is survived by two sisters, Pat Brown of Savannah, Georgia, and Katha Driggers (Jimmy) of Glennville, Georgia, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Debra, fondly called Debbie by many, will be remembered for her kind spirit, beautiful smile, and dancing blue eyes. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
