Dolores S. Wells

Dolores S. Wells of Gum Branch, passed away on April 1, 2026, after a brave battle with cancer. Born on September 14, 1963, in Fort Carson, CO. 

She is preceded in death by the love of her life, Terry L. Wells Sr. and her devoted parents Robert and Monika Sladick. She is survived by her daughters Sandra Hodges (Jason Hodges) of Ludowici, Kirstin Braswell (David Braswell) of Guyton, and Bonus son Terry Wells Jr. (Sarah Wells) of Gum Branch, brother Steve Sladick (Tammy Young) of Savannah, and sisters Debra Brown (Bob Brown) of Abingdon, MD and Veronika Cato (Albert Cato) of Hinesville, as well as her precious grandchildren Taylor Hodges (Seth Struble) , and Brantley Hodges both of Ludowici, Katie Hellberg, Alayna Hellberg, Gabi Braswell, all of Guyton, Carson Wells and Drake Wells of Gum Branch, and mother in law Polly Wells (Bill Pritchard) of Gum Branch and several treasured nieces and nephews.

Prior to her illness, Dolores was employed by The Liberty County Clerk of Courts. She enjoyed cruising and vacationing with family. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Active pallbearers will be Jason Hodges, Steve Sladick, Terry Wells Jr., Seth Struble, Albert Cato, and Chris Coll.

Honorary pallbearers will be The Liberty County Clerk of Courts, Paul Rose, Johnny Wells, Ronnie Brown, Bob Brown, and Glenn Cheney

Family will receive friends on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 1 pm for visitation at Carters Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 2 pm in the Chapel of Carters

Funeral Home with Pastors Michael Howard and Robert Long officiating.

Burial will follow immediately at Elim Baptist Church Cemetery in Ludowici, GA.
