Donald Glenn Harless Jr.

Donald Glenn Harless Jr., lovingly known as Don, passed away on July 25, 2026, in Ludowici, Georgia, at the age of 72. He was born on December 2, 1953, in Wichita, Kansas, to Donald Glenn Harless Sr. and Margaret Rae Scism.

Don was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was married to his beloved wife, Kristi Harless, who shared in the joys and challenges of life by his side. Together, they created a family filled with love, laughter, and countless memories.

Don was the proud father of three children: Anndrea Hamby (Kelly Hamby), David Harless (Kelia Harless), and Kristina Michele Harless Lewis. Don loved his children deeply and was always there to support, encourage, and remind them how much they meant to him. He was a loving grandfather to Jaeliece Lewis, Jacelyn Lewis, Samantha Harless, Jakob Harless, Kasen Harless, Dallin Harless, Kaley Hamby, and Kohnner Hamby. Don cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren and loved making them laugh through his stories, humor, and playful teasing.

Don was preceded in death by his daughter, Kristina Michele Harless Lewis; his brother, Brent Harless; and his parents, Donald Glenn Harless Sr. and Margaret Rae Scism. 

He is also remembered by his siblings, Nancy Hosner, Rhonda Dewey, and Terrance Harless, as well as many extended family members and friends whose lives he touched. 

Don briefly served in the United States Navy before being medically released. He was a Christian and attended A New Beginning Church in Ludowici, Georgia. His faith was an important part of his life and guided the love and care he showed to those around him.

Don enjoyed many things throughout his life, including shooting, cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs, and spending time with his family. Those who knew him will remember his playful personality, his sense of humor, and the way he loved to tease the people closest to him. Don leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and memories that will continue to live on through his family. Though he will be deeply missed, the impact he made on the lives of those who knew and loved him will never be forgotten.
