Joyce Rogers King

Joyce Rogers King, 80, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at home surrounded by her family.

Joyce was a lifelong resident of Fleming. She was a member of Fleming Baptist Church and also a member of the Red Hat Society. She retired from Civil Service. She enjoyed fishing, cooking for her family, and was a fan of Minnie Pearl. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Odis King; parents, Pate and Eva Rogers; and brother, Melvin Rogers. 

Joyce is survived by four sons, Timmy Blount (Missy), Jeff Blount (Rena), Wesley King (Nancy), and Wayne King (Sylvie); sister, Blanche Davis (Larry); brother, David Rogers (Angie); six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at Mt. Olivet Methodist Church, 667 Mt. Olivet Church Road, Fleming, GA 31309. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery.
