Kathleen Mary Chojecki passed away on December 3, 2025, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah, Georgia. Born on November 18, 1938, in New York.
Kathleen dedicated a significant portion of her career to her role as a school bus driver in Buffalo, New York, where she was known for her kindness and the care she extended to her young passengers. Outside of her driving profession, she also successfully owned a refinishing furniture business, showcasing her creativity and craftsmanship.
She found joy in watching curling and was an avid fisher. Her love for her family was unparalleled, and her affectionate spirit extended to her cherished cats. As an ardent fan of the Buffalo Bills, she eagerly followed their games, sharing in the excitement with those around her. Additionally, Kathleen had a passion for dancing, which allowed her to express her joyful and vivacious nature. Kathleen was married to Norman Chojecki for over 61 years.
Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Michelle Helton, and her cherished grandson, Charles Helton, along with his wife, Brenda. She took great pride in her great-grandchildren, Ashlyn, Shaelyn, and Charli Helton, who brought her immense happiness and joy. Additionally, she is remembered fondly by her nephews, Leonard Swiat and Steven Swiat of Amherst.
