Laurance Levon Beasley, age 80, of Fleming, Georgia, passed away peacefully October 12, 2025 surrounded by his loved ones.
Born on July 11, 1945 in Hinesville, Georgia, Laurance was a hard-working man of quiet strength and simple pleasures. He was a United States Navy Veteran and also owned and operated Beasley's Septic Tank Service for 42 years and provided summer employment and training in the art of hard work to many young men. When not working, Laurance found his greatest joy in the outdoors whether it was sitting in a deer stand, fishing the rivers of coastal Liberty County or tending to his large garden every spring and summer. He also enjoyed good food - especially that cooked by the loving hands of his mother. They enjoyed many mornings sitting at the table in her humble kitchen enjoying breakfast and a good cup of Folgers Instant coffee! For the past two years, he faithfully visited his mother almost every morning in the Nursing Home to assist her with her breakfast and have their usual morning chat. He was a compassionate and caring son.
After leaving the nursing home each day, he enjoyed riding around in his truck, checking on his food plot and stopping by to visit friends and neighbors, always ready to share a story, a laugh or lend a helping hand.
He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Tommy, his father, Charles Beasley and his two brothers, Leonard and Harold Beasley. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Paulette, his mother Margaret Beasley, his sister, Charlene Godley (Clay), a daughter-in-law Britt Beasley and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and life-long friends.
He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, family devotion and a life lived on his own terms. He will be missed more than words can say.
