Luis Alfonso Ojeda was born to Maria Ojeda and Alfonso Nazario in Sabana Grande, Puerto Rico, on May 11, 1932, and went to his heavenly home on May 15, 2026.
Luis lived in Puerto Rico as a young man before enlisting in the United States Army. On a trip to New York, he met Carmen Maldonado, and three weeks later, they were married. They had three children, and they traveled extensively during his service in the US Army. Luis served two tours in Vietnam and retired after 28 years of service. After two years, he became bored and returned to the workforce in the Civil Service as a mechanic for 20 years and retired a second time. After a few months, he was bored again and was hired on as a contract mechanic at Fort Stewart in Hinesville, Georgia. He worked till the age of 80.
Luis was a man who loved God, his family, and life, and he valued education. His hobbies included gardening, exercising, ceramics, and training his dogs.
