Mavis Elizabeth Hardman, passed away peacefully at her home in Gum Branch, Georgia, on December 11, 2025. Born on October 12, 1977, in Hinesville, Georgia, Mavis was known for her warm smile, contagious laughter, and selfless generosity.
Throughout her life, Mavis embodied the true essence of kindness and care, leaving an indelible mark on her family. She was the life of the party, always ready to uplift those around her with her vibrant personality. Mavis loved spending time outdoors, immersing herself in the beauty of nature, and bringing warmth to countless gatherings through her exceptional cooking.
Mavis is survived by her devoted husband of six years, William "Bill" Hardman, her children: Joseph Kaufman (Courtney) of Pine Grove, Georgia; Ayla Oglesby, Jacob Oglesby, and Kaleb Oglesby, all of Gum Branch; Kilynn Taylor of Glennville, Georgia; and Luke Taylor of Hinesville. The joy she found in her grandchildren, Cameron and Alayna Parker; Ethan, Jason, and Kaydence Winkel; Heaven Oglesby; Ameris Williams; Allyssa Hall; and Alice Flannery, brought her endless happiness.
Mavis was preceded in death by her parents Roger Hickum and beloved mother Anette White.
Family will receive friends on Thursday December 18, 2025 at Carter Funeral Home at 3 p.m.
Celebration of life will be held Thursday December 18, 2025 at 4 p.m. in the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home.
Burial will immediately follow the service in Jones Creek Baptist Church in Ludowici Georgia.
