Nancy Claire Reyes

Nancy Claire Reyes, née Stroud, born on August 13, 1939, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2026, at Memorial Medical Hospital in Savannah, Georgia.

Nancy worked as a nurse in the U.S. Army, where she attained the rank of E5. Nancy’s extensive nursing expertise spanned several vital areas, including emergency room care, the infant nursery, school nursing, and office nursing.

Her educational foundation was built upon the successful completion of high school, followed by specialized training in nursing school, where she honed the skills and knowledge that would serve as the cornerstone for a lifetime of caregiving and professional accomplishment.

Nancy was a devoted mother to her living children: Marc Anthony Reyes (and his wife Pam Taylor), Jennifer Lynn Gilstrap, and Scott Allen Reyes (and his wife Ashley Pruitt). She was also blessed with 18 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, all of whom she held dear to her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gilberto Gustavo Reyes. son, Andrew Stroud Reyes, and her grandchildren, Christina Marie Rockwood and Caleb Gilstrap.

Nancy Claire Reyes will be remembered with great respect and affection by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
