Nancy R. Wright

Nancy R. Wright, 91, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026, surrounded by her family after a short illness.

She was born in Ebony, VA, and lived most of her life in Hinesville. She was a member of Connection Church. She also liked spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John E. Wright, and two brothers, Joseph Conner and Andrew Conner.

She is survived by her three children, Michael Wright (Darlene), Teresa Urban (Larry), and Steve (Redbone) Wright, and companion Ed Shumans. She is also survived by two sisters, Rosa Boulden and Martha Jordan, as well as three grandchildren: Lauren Dupree, Stephanie Wright Bohlinger, and Kenny Wright, and five great-grandchildren: Jaxon, Alexi, Phoenix, Maggie, and Evan.

Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Connection Church.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service.

Burial will follow immediately after at Oglethorpe Memorial Park, Hinesville, GA.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Connection Church or Georgia Hospice of Hinesville.
