Nora Docherty Grubbs

Nora Docherty Grubbs, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully passed away at her home on September 28, 2025, with her daughter by her side. Born on October 30, 1950, in Baltimore, Maryland, she lived a life enriched by faith, love, and family.

She was the loving wife of Vernon L. Grubbs, Jr., who preceded her in death after fifty-two years of marriage. Together, they built a loving family and shared countless cherished memories. Nora was also preceded in death by her two sons, Tommy Grubbs and Danny Grubbs, who held a special place in her heart.

Nora is survived by her devoted daughter, Samantha May Grubbs Jenkins, who continues the legacy of love and compassion that she inherited from her mother. Nora was also blessed with the joy of two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immeasurable happiness.

Family will receive friends on Monday October 6, 2025 at 12 P.M. at Carter Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday October 6, 2025 at 1 P.M. in the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Gabe Gill officiating.

Burial will immediately follow the service in Oglethorpe Memorial Park.
