Patricia Ann "Pat" White

Patricia Ann White, affectionately known as Pat, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2026, at Coastal Manor in Ludowici, Georgia. Born on October 9, 1937, in Anniston, Alabama, Pat lived a life marked by dedication, service, and deep community involvement.

Pat was a beloved County Commissioner for Liberty County, where she devoted herself to the betterment of her community. Her commitment to public service was among her proudest accomplishments, reflecting a lifelong passion for serving others. In addition to her work in government, Pat also worked at the Hinesville Bank. Her professional life was characterized by integrity, dedication, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact. A woman of faith, Pat was a long-time member and Sunday School Teacher at Hinesville First Baptist Church. Her spiritual guidance and teaching fostered a nurturing and supportive environment for many within the congregation. Her contributions to her church were a testament to her enduring faith and commitment to others.

Outside of her career and church activities, Pat was an active member of the Red Hat Society, enjoying the camaraderie and social engagement it offered. She also dedicated time to Helen's Haven. A passionate sports fan, she was known for her enthusiastic support of Alabama.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Houston Clifford White, her son, Houston Scott White, and her parents, Lora and Marvin Stephens. She was also predeceased by Mary and T.J. White, Eunice White Erwin (Luther), and Zelma White Johnson (Jack), who all played significant roles in her life story.

She is survived and lovingly remembered by her chosen son, Steve Welborn (Annie). Her nieces, Towana Fuqua (Phillip) and Kathy Johnson Ballinger (Jerry), along with her nephew Barry Johnson (Dawn and Jack).

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Carter Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 12 p.m. in the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Chuck Owens officiating. 

Burial will immediately follow the services at the Hinesville Cemetery.
