Patrick Lamar Langston Jr. affectionately known as Buddy or Lil Pat, was born on June 19, 2007, to his loving parents, Angenika McNail and Patrick Langston in Miami. Buddy was his mother’s first son and his father’s only son. God blessed Angenika with this beautiful baby boy because she needed to know what genuine love felt like, and there is no greater love than the bond between a mother and her firstborn son. She got her “Buddy,” and God also knew Patrick needed a best friend, a little version of himself, so he got his “Lil Pat.”
Patrick had a smile that could light up any room he entered. Buddy was full of love, affection, and a joy that touched everyone around him. His presence brought comfort, laughter, and warmth to those who knew and loved him. Whether he was spending time with family, making others laugh, or simply being himself, Buddy left an unforgettable mark on the hearts of many.
God planted a seed so that Patrick Lamar Langston Jr. could flourish and grow in the state of Georgia, where Buddy spent his childhood creating memories that would last forever. While living in Georgia, Lil Pat played Little League football and attended elementary school, middle school, and high school throughout the state.
Buddy enjoyed playing video games, outdoor activities with his family, and making the most out of every moment life gave him. More than anything, he cherished spending time with his younger siblings, guiding them, protecting them, and teaching them the ways of life. Buddy truly loved his role as a big brother and leader. He carried himself with love, strength, and wisdom beyond his years, always wanting to see the people he loved happy, safe, and cared for.“The good die young,” and in this case, on May 9, 2026, Patrick Lamar Langston Jr. was called home far too soon. Patrick was so pure, so loving, and so special that God chose this precious young man from His beautiful garden and welcomed him into His heavenly home for eternal peace and rest.
Though his time on earth was short, Buddy’s life was filled with love, laughter, purpose, and unforgettable memories. The impact he made on his family, friends, and everyone blessed enough to know him will live on forever. His beautiful spirit, bright smile, and caring heart will never be forgotten, and his love will continue to shine through all those who carry his memory in their hearts.
