Pete Strickland

Pete Strickland, 82, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. 

Pete was a lifelong resident of Richmond Hill and a Veteran of the U.S. Army. After serving in the military, he worked as a truck driver. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR on Sundays, and was a fan of the New Orleans Saints.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Strickland; son, Ricky Strickland; daughter, Shelly Mallonee; and sister, Leomie Strickland.

Pete is survived by three children, Ronnie Strickland, Angie McLeod, and Terry Strickland; brother, James (Bubba) Strickland (Carolyn); two sisters, Vickey Ray and Nancy Laufman; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and extended family members.

Graveside services with Military Honors will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 in Midway United Methodist Church Cemetery with Sam Davis officiating.
