Randall Kato, a beloved member of his community and an accomplished business owner, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2025, in Hinesville, Georgia, at the age of 66. Born on October 10, 1958, in Wahiawa, Hawaii, Randall's life was marked by a deep passion for both his career and personal pursuits.
Randall was the owner of Kato’s Floor Covering, where he dedicated countless hours to building a successful business that served many families and businesses in his community. His work ethic and commitment to quality left a lasting impact on all those he served.
Beyond his professional achievements, Randall was a man of many interests and passions. An avid baseball player from a young age, he showcased his exceptional talent on the field. He was a standout player on the first Wahiawa Little League Team to participate in the Little League World Series in 1971. In addition to baseball, Randall enjoyed dirt bike riding during his teenage years and was a longtime competitor in surfing and paddleboarding competitions. Randall’s military service in the U.S. Army exemplified his dedication to his country.
Randall is survived by his daughters Jennifer Kato of Atlanta, GA; Tiffany Kato of Hinesville, GA; and Kendra Kato of Hinesville, GA. He also leaves behind siblings Stephanie (Stanford) Regidor of Hilo, HI; Deborah (Guy) Saranillio of Mililani, HI; and Jessica (Buddy) Teixeira of Waipahu, HI.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Chong Kato, with whom he shared 15 wonderful years of marriage, as well as his parents, Yoshinobu and Trixie Kato.
Family will receive friends on Friday October 10, 2025 at 10 A.M.
Celebration of life will be held on Friday October 10, 2025 at 11 A.M. in the chapel of Carter Funeral Home.
