Larry Anderson, born on February 29, 1956, in Pompano Beach, Florida, was the beloved son of the late Authur Anderson and Pauline Hester Ransey Rozier, and step-son of Fred Rozier Sr., who all preceded him in death. Though born in Florida, he was lovingly raised in Ocilla, Georgia by his grandparents, Albert Ransey and Laura Mae Palmer Ransey, who helped shape the strong values and character he carried throughout his life.
Larry proudly served his country as a United States Army veteran for 22 years, demonstrating dedication, honor, and commitment. During his military career, he bravely served in Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm, standing among those who answered the call to protect and defend their nation.
Following his military service, Larry continued his strong work ethic in civilian life and was employed with Home Depot Distribution Center in Pooler, Georgia, with over 20 plus years where he was respected for his dedication, reliability, and teamwork.
Beyond his military and professional life, Larry was known for his love of family, community, and fellowship. He was a proud member of the Ole Skool Cruisers Car Club, where he shared his passion for cars and camaraderie with fellow members and friends.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife, Francine Anderson of 48 years. He was a proud and caring father to his four children: Tonya McNeal (Ronnie), Tanya Anderson (Jerry), Tadrian Anderson (Sontray), and Timothy Anderson. His family was the center of his life, and he took great pride in each of them.
He is also survived by his siblings: Sandra “Faye” Carter (Robert), Edward Anderson Sr., Dale Rozier Sr., Fred Rozier Jr., Pamela Rozier Harden (Benard), and Frances “Connie” Newman (Jeff).
Larry also leaves behind seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two loving aunts, a mother-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends who will forever treasure his memory.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gregory Rozier Sr. (Tammy), and his great-grandchild, Caleb McNeal Jr.
Larry Anderson’s life was a testament to service, strength, loyalty, and love for family. Though he is no longer with us in body, his memory, his lessons, and the love he shared will continue to live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the honor of knowing him.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
