Richard Clarence Lenzen

Richard Clarence Lenzen, affectionately known as Rick, was born on October 7, 1955, passed away peacefully at home on September 9, 2025, under the compassionate care of GHC hospice and surrounded by his loving family.

Rick was a dedicated individual whose talents spanned various fields. At a young age, he embarked on an entrepreneurial journey by starting his own roofing company. His career progressed as he worked in construction, ultimately becoming a skilled maintenance technician. Known as a jack of all trades, Rick possessed an exceptional ability to tackle a variety of challenges with creativity and resourcefulness.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Rick had a profound passion for life. He cherished the moments spent fishing, but what resonated most within him was his love for music. A talented guitarist, he brought joy to those around him with his melodies. Additionally, Rick found great satisfaction in building cars from scratch, showcasing his ingenuity and determination.

Rick is survived by his children, Charlyn Williams, Charmis Ross (Jair), Rachel Lenzen, and twins Russell and Sean Lenzen. His former wife Lorilyn Lenzen. He is also survived by his loving sisters, Brenda, Pam, Michele, Ana, and his brother Philip. His beloved grandkids Belinda, Angela, KK, Ava, Lila, and Khia. He leaves behind his beloved dog Maizey, who provided him with companionship and joy throughout his life.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Sylvia Shaw Lenzen, and his sister Debbie.

The family will receive friends on Saturday September 13, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home.
