Sherril Ann Sauer

Sherril Ann “Payne” Sauer, aged 67, passed away on December 13, 2025, in Savannah, Georgia. Born on January 10, 1958, she was known for her kindness and loving nature that touched the lives of many.

Sherril served honorably in the Army, where she developed a deep sense of duty and camaraderie that continued to inspire her throughout her life. She also earned a PhD in psychology.In her personal life, Sherril was a devoted life partner to Robert Mckain. She cherished her family deeply and took great joy in the companionship of her two beloved dogs, Digger and Katy Belle. Her warmth and ability to make friends with everyone she met was a testament to her open-hearted spirit and compassionate outlook on life, she was the life of the party.

Sherril is also remembered by her brother, Carl Glenn Payne, and his spouse, Ruth Payne. She was preceded in death by her sister, Connie Morgan, who resides in the memories.

Graveside service will take place on Thursday December 18, 2025 at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville Georgia at 10 a.m.

Family will receive friends on at Carter Funeral Home at 11:30 a.m.
