Tommy Boneschans

Edward Thomas “Tommy” Boneschans, 57, passed away unexpectedly at home Monday, July 13, 2020.

Born in France, where his father was stationed with the US Army, he lived in Liberty County most of his life.  He lived in Duval County, FL, for about 10 years before returning to Hinesville two years ago.  He worked at the Georgia State Prison in Reidsville for 14 years.  Tommy loved his motorcycle, 80’s music, muscle cars, and his cat, Peepers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hilde and Thomas Boneschans, and his stepson, Randy Miller.

He is survived by his sons, Tommy Lee Boneschans (Felicia Zitani) of Clementon, NJ, and Brenton Boneschans of Duval, FL; one grandchild, Colton Thomas of Clementon, NJ; sister, Lydia Johnson (Lee) of Orange Park, FL; and two nephews, John and Allen.

A Walk-Thru Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday, July 18, 2020, from 4pm until 6 pm at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel.   Due to restrictions set in place during the current COVID19 health crisis, attendance at the funeral home is limited.  Social Distancing practices will be observed and face coverings will be required.
