With profound sorrow and overflowing love, the Pierre/JnoBaptiste family announces the passing of Verline Pierre JnoBaptiste Joseph, who transitioned peacefully on Sunday, September 27, 2026. Born in St. Joseph, Dominica, Verline later made her home in Georgia, where she continued to share her warmth, generosity, and unwavering compassion with everyone she encountered.
Verline’s life was defined by the love she gave freely and wholeheartedly. She embraced her family, friends, and community with unwavering kindness and generosity. Her gentle spirit brought comfort and joy, and she expressed her deep love through every word, action, and moment.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Lawrence Pierre and Geraldine JnoBaptiste Pierre, whose memories she carried with grace throughout her life.
Verline leaves to mourn twelve sisters, including Paula Jno-Baptiste, Dr.Clarine Pierre, Runa Pierre Jno‑Baptiste, Merina Pierre, Lawrencia Pierre Grant, Delia Pierre, Rosie and Claudia Pierre.
She leaves her brothers: Carlton Scottland, Chris Skerrit (Anne Marie), Corbin Skerrit (Juliette), McRoy Skerritt, and Donald Pierre.
She leaves her uncles: Uncle Tia Jno‑Baptiste of Delice and Elandas Pierre of St. Joseph, Dominica.
She leaves her beloved nieces: Shyka Scottland, Dr. Kymora Scottland, Kimora JnoBaptiste, Kishwana Morales (Jose), Joy Louden, Jillian Pierre (Wilton), Donalyn Pierre, Keven Hyacinth, Eboni Skerritt, April Robertson (Dwayne), Dr. Donna Edmund (Noah), Niambi Scottland, Savannah Scottland, Leandra Skerritt, Nicole, and Sherika Skerritt.

She leaves her beloved great‑grand‑nephew: Micah Moore.

She leaves her close cousins: Gabriel, Ester, Hildreth, Lawson, and Samuel Christian; Janet, Ann, Diana, Catherine, Kelvin, Gary, Kathline, Avril, Judy, Sharon, Kelly, Gifft, Wellington, Wesley, Gilda, Theresa, Beldan, Lucinda, Wellington, Jefferson and Alickson Jno‑Baptiste; Sarah Romain; and Theresa Bruno, Jonelle and Anita Pierre, Jennifer St. Hilliare, and Francess,
She leaves her dear friends: Sierra, Laverne, Shawn Golden, Marie, Stephen Isidore, Connie Silcot, Angela Morvan, Ms. Nancy, Ms. Leena, Stan, Dean Dinnard, Wenton, Anthony Williams, Che, Lilia Joseph, Zil Serrant, Curvin, Rebecca, and many others whose lives she touched.
Each of them carries a piece of her love—love she gave abundantly and without reservation.
Her legacy is one of compassion, unity, and devotion. She touched lives with sincerity, uplifted others with her quiet strength, and created bonds that will endure for generations. Though her earthly journey has ended, her impact remains eternal.
Family will receive friends on October 9, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.
A Prayer Vigil will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 p.m. on October 10, 2026, at St. Stephen, First Martyr of Hinesville, where we will lay her to rest next to her mother.
The burial will immediately follow the service at Oglethorpe Memorial Park in Hinesville, Georgia.
